Today is Jen my girlfriend / partner / roommate / companion / best friend / nutritionist / book keeper / fellow hoodlum watcher / love's birthday.
Yep, she's a year older but still many years younger than me.
Tonight we're going out to dinner and then we're going shopping.
"What a lame gift johnpowers!" says johnpower's friends.

But you see, its been a rough past two months. August started off pretty bad with the National Poetry Slam we both were at, after that Jen was gone forever shooting the ESPN X Games for her company, then we battled the hoodlums for a few decades, then we went apartment hunting and found a new place we can barely afford right now, then her grandfather died suddenly, then we battled the hoodlums even more to the point where she had to watch me almost get stoned Shirley Jackson Lottery style, last week to the day the US was forced out of Bush's protectionist and isolationist stance by O'solo-mio Beer Ladle and his al-Quesadia network, two nights ago her computer died a horrible hard drive crunching death, and I hate shopping with a passion.
so in other words, she couldn't tell me anything she wanted.
BAM!� It just hit me, you know what, if you're in the posse you need to go to her site, admire her monks, and then wish her a happy birthday in her guestbook!
That would make me a little less lame.

And now, just a little short bit of current events...
'Islam' happens to be a lovely Arabic word, which means "surrender".
Also, Islam recognizes figures like Abraham and Moses and Jesus as prophets of the one God.
Islam has its own sects just as Christianity does. Protestant, Roman Catholic, Baptist... all have their own equivalent sects in Islam.
Further more President Bush said yesterday that "the face of terror is not the true faith of Islam..." and shito has something to say about that as well.
So if anyone out there reading this is a bigot, stop it. Now. Also, if you see someone being a bigot, call the police. They'll be very sorry they're so ignorant... providing they're not so ignorant they can't tell the difference between themselves in the mirror and the good old boys from 'Birth of a Nation.'
