Torturous and sadistic is a lot closer to the word. Whatever that word is.
So I'm waiting to get on one of the hellevators this morning and after Lent passes with a lobby full of office workers flogging themselves in penitence to the great god of days off in October - Christopher Columbus, one of the damn shinny brass and mahogany paneled boxes of doom on a string reaches the ground floor and opens.
15 people stand there, waiting for someone to go first.
I yelled out, "GET IN THE DAMN ELEVATOR FOLKS! You're not trying to impress your prom dates by letting them go first!" in my head so no one would punch me in the face and I'd have to fog myself to the great Columbus for another 9 weeks...
We all squeeze in.
Tightly.
Inside everyone has their own millimeter personal zones cordoned off and we slowly start to rise.
But it's Tuesday after a long weekend for us and people are off balance.
Literally.
Pretty soon a man sways into a woman and immediately says "excusemesorry"
but this causes the woman to sway into someone else as she says "oopsexcusemesorry"
and pretty soon I'm huddled into the far corner of the elevator while 14 other people are bouncing off of each other like a really poorly designed pinball game from the 60's

and 8 of the people get off on the second floor.
Ok, only 4 people bumped into each other... Sue me.

So Jen might have a new job already. Boo Yeah. Its a department head retail job at a place she's been working at part time for a while, but she should actually be making more money over the holidays than at her old job.

We're packing and getting ready to move this weekend. Last night we watched Chocolate (say it funny and you'll know the movie) and found it slow but good... and well, that's all for now.
