I'm telling you this as a person who took martial arts for a total of 9 years. Yoga will kick your ass.
So, if you're thinking of joining a gym, try yoga.
Try it at least once.
Yoga is hard. It's physically demanding. It will make your muscles ache in that good way the next day. You will feel good right after you finish the class.
During the class you will have moments of hell. Transcendental this is fun hell. But hell nonetheless.
If it continues to be like martial arts, it will get easier and easier to the point I will love it for it's beauty.
Right now I love it beacause it kicked my ass.
