just knowing
just knowing
Just knowing that the baby is supposed to be spinning
around like a whirling dervish,
an octopus on the deck - twisting coil of arms and legs
suctioned in place to anyplace
any side but his back
on the dreaded
whine conducting
symphonic infant complaint orchestra solo wail
diaper changing station
of doom,
makes the work
a little less frustration
though no less unpleasant
as I hold my breath.
PHEW!
