Even the paper sucked Sunday
The lawyer on my bus does his laundry at the laundry mat. "Sunday was bad, the laundry mat was packed and the paper was bad. It sucked." The lady he talks to every day we ride to downtown laughs. Nervously, but with just a hint of it. "Suck" is the worst word we've ever heard him say. "I'm going to start getting the Boston Globe from now on. The Journal is terrible."
Jack and Sue are talking a about the beaches in Rhode Island. They slip effortlessly into Daytona and Orlando. The more I listen the more I realise they don't really know each other.
