Food

Yesterday I worked at the RI Community Food Bank's distribution center. Its a giant warehouse that's not full enough. I repackaged pallets of bottles of water to be delivered to food pantrys and shelter, I repackaged sacks upon sacks of pinto beans into 2 pound bags, and I broke 50 pound bags of carrots down into grocery store sized bags. Its heart breaking to realise so many children don't eat on the weekend because they get their main meals at school. What is that saying? Feed the world. Food not bombs. Kitchens not Prisons? Sounds too easy. and it is.
