question:
do you ever quit? also, how do you deal with a 13 year old jerk who thinks hes all that, who used to be a friend but turned out he was just acting like it, who puts a sinister twist on the past, and then the two friends ive got not counting him on diaryland tell me hey go read this guys diary (his diaryname is oligarchy) and i get pissed cause hes a liar, adn then i vent on my OWN diary, and then one of them gets pissed and tells oligarchy, and it goes round and round and round. how should i deal with him? question 3. have you ever baked bread? its fun. it also tastes good. p.s. oligarchy is 13, i am 16.

1) Do you ever quit?

I used to never quit, never surrender, never give up. 'Quitters never win...' blah blah blah... it's all bullshit. The key word is 'used to' as sometimes somethings you do are just not worth it any more. College and High School should not be quit because by suffering through those years you will be guaranteed a better paying job and since most of the world is based on capitalism, you need a better paying job to get ahead. Crack and Pepsi flavored heroin on the other hand are things to be quit. A jerk ass boyfriend - no matter how much a girl cares for him - is still a jerk ass and there is nothing wrong with quitting that situation. Not everything is worth doing, the trick is figuring out what the benefit of an activity is so you can decide if you want to continue that activity or not.

2) How should I deal with [a 13 year old jerk who thinks hes all that...]

By clueing him into the fact that to you no 13 year old is 'really' all that. How do you do that? You ignore him. You make the person realize that what they have to say about you doesn't matter at all because you could care less what comes out of the mouth of some 'boy' who's a 'child' in age compared to you. The next time someone brings up something he is saying about you, don't go and read it, just respond that you have better things to do than to read the words of someone who is obviously immature and just wasting everyone's time because he's bored. It doesn't matter if it's true or not, truth doesn't factor into this, there are 2 sides to every story and it's all about your reaction.

If you know where he lives you could threaten to have him killed, but ignoring him is much less effort.

3) Have you ever baked bread?

Yes Mam. It is warm and gooey. Have you ever caught some 13 year old adolescent boy using freshly baked bread as his sex slave? No? Too bad, but threatening to expose someone for such an act could certainly factor into how much they bother you.

question:
What can I do to be happier?

The key to happiness is learning to be happy with what you have and accepting that nothing is ever perfect all while holding on to some healthy level of ambition.

Your significant other will never be perfect.

Your financial situation will never be perfect.

Your car is good enough.

Your job pays the bills and you've worked at much worse places.

You still would like to get a nicer house someday or perhaps a promotion and that's something you'll work towards, because when it happens it will be nice - it will be a nice journey getting that second degree and after all your hard work that extra 10,000 a year will be worth it.

Also, being happy isn't always what it's cracked up to be, sometimes being jaded and angsty is a lot easier and too many people want to be happy without even knowing what truly makes them happy.

as for me...

I spent all day yesterday preparing for Slam Practice. Last night I rushed across town to get to Slam practice. When I got to the studio, David one of the members of the team was there practicing but no one else was. I was pissed. Until I spoke to Dave and he informed me I was a day early and I realized Id been operating in a different dimension all day. Yet again, I spent another day thinking it was the next day Wednesday.

Letting those know who are supposed to see you as an authority figure that you are indeed a moron is highly recommended by me. Misery loves company.
